Configuration

Tune Hackatime after completing the quick start. Project naming and privacy rules run in the WakaTime-compatible plugin on your computer, while account and project visibility settings live in Hackatime.

Account settings

Open Settings to update your profile and time zone. Hackatime uses your time zone for daily totals, streaks and calendar boundaries. Changing it refreshes those statistics, so they may take a moment to update.

The Privacy settings page controls whether other people can look up your public coding statistics. It does not stop your editor from sending activity. To change what leaves your computer, use the plugin privacy settings.

Choose what to configure

Most editor plugins share the same WakaTime CLI configuration, so one change normally applies across all your installed editors.
