Tune Hackatime after completing the [quick start](/getting-started/quick-start). Project naming and privacy rules run in the WakaTime-compatible plugin on your computer, while account and project visibility settings live in Hackatime.

## Account settings

Open [Settings](https://hackatime.hackclub.com/my/settings/profile) to update your profile and time zone. Hackatime uses your time zone for daily totals, streaks and calendar boundaries. Changing it refreshes those statistics, so they may take a moment to update.

The **Privacy** settings page controls whether other people can look up your public coding statistics. It does not stop your editor from sending activity. To change what leaves your computer, use the [plugin privacy settings](/configuration/privacy).

Most editor plugins share the same WakaTime CLI configuration, so one change normally applies across all your installed editors.
